AyodejiStephen is a clean energy professional with over four years of experience leading policy advisory and project management in the sustainable energy sector. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, and is trained in climate change and clean energy policy making as one of the 10 Agora Energiewende fellows in Germany. He had his Master’s degree in Renewable energy economics from the University of Ibadan. He is a climate and environmental sustainability fellow at the Urban Leaders Fellowship in the US. He is a Doctoral researcher at Dublin City University working on using hydrogen for the decarbonisation of transport systems. He also fosters capacity development training for renewable energy project developers across Africa. He is an independent consultant for green energy businesses across Africa. One of the Initiatives he started is called Energy Gist, which releases short policy briefs informed by surveys gathered by youths in Nigeria to inform the government on how issues like energy poverty and climate change are affecting the youth and what solutions can be adopted. Through these experiences, he has developed formidable skills in stakeholder engagement, energy policy research, and energy systems transformation.
He contributes to country-based renewable energy projectfinancing focusing on African countries.
He also fosters capacity development training for renewable energy project developers across Africa.
He is an independent consultant for green energy projects across Africa. In his role as a policy analyst, he has organised more than 10 policy dialogues on the state of clean energy in Nigeria, attracting Ministers and other solid stakeholders as Panellists on the dialogues. He also worked as the hydrogen portfolio Lead at Clean Technology Hub, a leading energy research company in Nigeria.
Through these experiences, he has developed formidable skills in stakeholder engagement, energy policy research, energy systems transformation, and information management within the framework of the Energy sector.
